MidEast Sweets is proud to announce the 2005 MidEast Sweets Essay Scholarship.  At MidEast Sweets, we recognize the importance of education and would like to help offset the rising cost of higher education.

Guidelines

The topic of the essay is Middle Eastern sweets.  Other than that, its up to you to come up with a well-written essay.  Some ideas include:

• why Middle Eastern sweets are unique
• memories of an event that included Middle Eastern sweets
• history of Middle Eastern sweets

The essay should be 250-500 words, but can be longer

Rules and Regulations

• open to all students attending higher education institutes in the U.S.
• high school seniors are encouraged to apply
• all applicants will receive a $5 discount on their next order
• limit one application per person
• applications must be submitted by April 30, 2006
• only applications submitted by our website will be accepted
• winners will be announced by May 31, 2006
• minimum amount: $100, maximum: depends on donor generosity (Donate below)
• winning essay and runner-ups will be posted on our website
• winners will be asked to provide proof of school enrollment
